Stomach Flu
Last weekend I had a bout of stomach flu, or maybe food poisoning. The symptoms were pretty bad, bad nausea, Diarrhea, burning in stomach and GI. I have had food poisoning before from bad water and questionable foods and also milder cases of the same symptoms. Some things that helped me were Bentonite Clay, Slippery Elm and antihistamines. When your digestive system is upset Bentonite Clay, liquid version for oral consumption, can help soak up irritating chemistry and poisons. Slippery Elm is helpful for constipation, which can be caused by too much Bentonite Clay and not enough water, and also coats and soothes the digestive system. Antihistamines can really help with food poisoning as it can cause Anaphylaxis which causes allergic reactions such as swelling of glands and parts of the digestive tract. In sever cases it can cause death. If you catch it quickly enough, even food poisoning symptoms can be drastically curbed within a few hours. With food poisoning sometimes you own body can be an over-reactive problem.

Stomach flu is actually gastroenteritis or irritation and inflammation of the stomach and intestines. If you have a burning sensation in the stomach and intestines you may likely have stomach flu. Gastroenteritis may be caused by a virus, bacteria og parasites in spoiled food or unclean water. Lactose intolerance, which causes a reaction to dairy products or MSG intolerance may also be responsible for stomach flu symptoms such as cramps, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, light-headedness, decreased urine output and tears due to dehydration. Drink water when you can and add a little bit of bland food if possible. I always keep Bentonite Clay, Slippery Elm and antihistamines (fast desolving tablets) for emergency. Hope this helps someone in the same situation I was in.

Some bacteria that can cause stomach flu or gastroenteritis are E. coli, Campylobacter, Shigella, Salmonella and viruses are Norovirus, Adenovirus, Rotavirus, Calicivirus, Astrovirus.

RE: Stomach Flu
Food poisoning sucks very bad. No one can see what viruses and bacteria are present in the food he is eating. That's why many people get food poisoning. If we take care about what quality of food we eat we can reduce the chances of getting food poisoning.
